About Us |

A small club located in central east England in the market town of Grantham in the county of Lincolnshire. As with most clubs we are a mixture of Rag, Tag and Bobtail , coming from an assortment of locations and life styles. At present we have members from Australia, Lithuania, Portugal and Poland among our members. We have a wide diversity of interests within in the hobby. We teach radio courses from Foundation, through Intermediate to Advanced levels and after 16 years have a 100% pass rate. Thanks to a grant from Grassroots Grants, we have beem able to purchase equipment that will last for a very long time to help with teaching and other club projects. We organize a dxpedition most years as part of IOTA, (ISLANDS ON THE AIR) to isles around Europe. When on UK Isles we also activate areas for the WAB, (WORKED ALL BRITAIN) and also Lighthouses on behalf of. (British Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society) An interest in Slow and fast scan tv, morse code, data modes, computing and contests are enjoyed by members. Special event callsigns have been used at many locations including Belvoir Castle and Rutland Railway Museum. This year we will be active as GB…. As part of JOTA (Jamboree On The Air) for the Grantham Scouts.
